Whangari Falls

On the way to our next camping destiation, we stopped in the region's largest town, Whangari (pronounced fan-gar-ay). A beautiful waterfall is in the center of town, and was a nice break after driving and a bit of shopping.

We took the track down through the park to the falls. It was our first experience through 'native bush', or forest. I recognize numerous native species here that we use in landscapes in California. The tree ferns are spectacular, and lend a primordial feel to the forests.

I think you quite like saying "bush"!
