Buller River Gorge

The day was mostly clear, with drifts of clouds lingering on the peaks, lending an etherial quality to the scenery. It was a wonderful drive out to the coast.

Sheep farms dotted the wider river valleys.

Buller River looking west, to the coast.

We must cross this river 30 times during the trek!

This bridge wins for the narrowest!

The white cliffs

The Buller meets up with some other tributaries here, creating huge rocky bars.

I'm sure you can get the gist of how narrow and steep this is!

Numerous waterfalls lined the road after last night's rain.

The water was still so calm and reflective

I would love to float down this whole river...can you image?
